Susan Shea

  • Assistant Professor of Surgery and Bioengineering

Dr. Shea received her PhD in Bioengineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. Her research program utilizes microfluidic models to study hemostasis in the context of trauma and transfusion medicine. Her lab studies both novel and existing blood products, as well as other treatments and approaches to rescue hemostatic dysfunction, with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes. Dr. Shea is an avid volleyball player and fan, enjoys time with her husband and dogs, gardening, traveling, and knitting when she has time.
